Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index recorded a session of mixed results as several prominent stocks saw declines, while others experienced gains. Notable decreases were observed in OCI Holdings, LS Electric, and Korea Zinc, with OCI Holdings closing at 178,800 won, down by 4,500 won. LS Electric ended the day at 801,000 won, a decrease of 33,000 won, and Korea Zinc dropped 63,000 won to close at 1,483,000 won.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Solutions and S-Oil also experienced downtrends, finishing at 35,650 won and 109,700 won, respectively. Significant losses were recorded for Hyundai Rotem and KDHC, with Hyundai Rotem closing at 184,200 won, down 5,600 won, and KDHC dropping 10,800 won to settle at 79,400 won.
Conversely, some stocks witnessed upward movement. Nongshim gained 2,000 won to close at 375,500 won, while Shinsegae rose 4,500 won to 337,000 won. In the financial sector, JB Financial Group and BNK Financial Group saw increases, with JB Financial Group up 1,100 won to 31,100 won and BNK Financial Group up 250 won to 18,680 won.
In the technology sector, Samsung SDS and LG Electronics experienced contrasting performances. Samsung SDS gained 200 won to reach 156,300 won, while LG Electronics fell by 1,000 won, closing at 112,000 won. Despite the mixed results, other companies such as Daewoong Pharm and Kolmar Korea managed to close higher, gaining 5,600 won and 2,800 won, respectively.
