Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) remained stable for most terms, with slight increases noted in the 6-month and 12-month durations. The rates, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information division of Yonhap News Agency, were posted at 11:00 a.m.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the KORIBOR rates for the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, and 3-month terms held steady at 2.50%, 2.62%, 2.74%, and 2.87%, respectively. The 6-month rate saw a minor increase from 3.03% in the previous session to 3.04% today. Similarly, the 12-month rate rose slightly from 3.49% to 3.51%.
These rates reflect the interest rates that banks charge each other for short-term loans and are significant indicators of financial market conditions. The consistent rates across shorter terms suggest stability, while the incremental hikes in the longer terms may indicate future expectations of market changes.
