Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) observed minor changes in some of its term rates, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m. today.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-Month KORIBOR saw an increase from 2.82% in the previous session to 2.83%. Similarly, the 2-Month rate rose slightly from 2.88% to 2.89%, and the 3-Month rate increased from 2.97% to 2.98%. The 6-Month KORIBOR experienced a marginal rise from 3.24% to 3.25%. In contrast, the 12-Month rate saw a slight decrease from 3.67% to 3.66%. Meanwhile, the 1-Week rate remained unchanged at 2.75%.
These rates are crucial indicators for the financial markets, reflecting the cost of borrowing between banks. The slight changes in the rates indicate a stable yet slightly upward trend in the short to medium-term lending costs among banks in Korea.
