Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) displayed minimal variations in today's session, as reported by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information service of Yonhap News Agency. The rates, crucial for financial institutions in setting interest rates on loans and deposits, remained stable across most terms, with a slight shift observed in the 12-month rate.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the KORIBOR rates posted at 11:00 a.m. indicated that the 1-week, 1-month, 2-month, 3-month, and 6-month terms held steady at 2.50%, 2.60%, 2.69%, 2.78%, and 2.82%, respectively, showing no change from the previous session. However, the 12-month rate experienced a minor decrease, moving from 2.92% to 2.91%.
The stability in the short-term rates reflects a consistent market expectation, while the slight drop in the 12-month rate could suggest adjustments based on anticipations of future economic conditions. These rates serve as a benchmark for various financial products and are closely monitored by financial institutions and investors alike.
