KORIBOR Rates Show Increment in Longer Terms

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) were posted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m. today. The rates indicate a consistent state for short-term offerings while displaying an increase for longer-term durations.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the 1-week and 1-month rates remained unchanged at 2.50% and 2.58%, respectively, when compared to the previous session. However, increases were observed in the 2-month, 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month rates. The 2-month rate rose slightly to 2.66% from 2.65%, while the 3-month rate increased to 2.75% from 2.73%. Furthermore, the 6-month rate climbed to 2.80% from 2.78%, and the 12-month rate saw an increase to 2.95% from 2.92%.

These changes in KORIBOR suggest potential shifts in the interbank lending landscape, particularly affecting longer-term financial commitments.
