KORIBOR Rates Remain Unchanged for Most Terms with Slight Increase in 6-Month and 12-Month Rates

Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) have shown stability in most terms, with minor adjustments observed in longer-term rates, as reported at 11:00 a.m. by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the one-week, one-month, two-month, and three-month terms remained steady at 2.50%, 2.60%, 2.71%, and 2.82% respectively. These figures indicate no change compared to the previous session, reflecting consistent short-term lending conditions in the interbank market.

The six-month and twelve-month KORIBOR rates have experienced a slight increase. The six-month rate edged up to 2.88% from the previous session's 2.87%, while the twelve-month rate rose to 3.10% from 3.07%. These adjustments suggest a modest shift in the longer-term interest rate expectations among financial institutions.

The stability in the short-term rates alongside the slight upward movement in longer-term rates provides insights into the current economic conditions and expectations within South Korea's interbank market.
