Seoul: In a significant historical event, Korean independence movement leaders launched a bold attack on Japanese forces at Chongjin Port, located on the northeastern coast of Korea, in 1921. This assault resulted in the death of approximately 40 Japanese soldiers. The attack occurred during a period when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule, which lasted from 1910 to 1945.
