Korean Air to Launch Mileage-Only Flights for Jeju Route During Lunar New Year

Seoul: Korean Air Co. is set to operate special mileage-exclusive flights on its domestic route connecting Seoul and Jeju Island to meet travel demand during the Lunar New Year holiday. The company announced these plans on Monday, highlighting an initiative to offer customers more travel options during the festive period.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the airline will operate the Gimpo-Jeju flights from February 13 to 19, scheduling two flights daily. Passengers can access full flight schedules through the Korean Air website and mobile app. This initiative is part of the airline's broader strategy to encourage mileage consumption among customers, as it integrates its mileage system with Asiana Airlines Inc. due to an organizational merger.

A Korean Air official stated that the decision to add flights on the high-demand Gimpo-Jeju route was made to enhance travel options for customers during the holiday. The official also mentioned that the airline aims to continue expanding opportunities for customers to maximize their mileage benefits.
