Korean Air Completes First Phase of Lounge Upgrade at Incheon International Airport

Incheon: Korean Air Co. announced it has successfully completed the initial phase of a significant lounge renovation project at Incheon International Airport, aimed at enhancing the preflight experience for travelers.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the renovation at South Korea's primary airport, located west of Seoul, includes a complete overhaul of the Miler Club and Prestige East lounges. Additionally, two new Prestige Garden lounges have been introduced. These upgraded spaces are designed to cater to various customer needs, featuring distinct areas for dining, relaxation, meetings, and wellness. Chefs at on-site stations prepare fresh meals, offering a unique culinary experience.

The design of the lounges merges modern luxury with traditional Korean elements. It incorporates a color scheme inspired by Korean Air's premium cabins and integrates traditional "hanok-style" architecture to create a unique ambiance. The two new garden lounges offer serene environments, with one providing views of a traditional Korean garden and the other overlooking a modern Western-style landscape.

The second phase of the project is set to be completed by 2026. This phase will focus on renovating the remaining first and business class lounges. Upon completion, the total lounge space will expand to over 12,270 square meters. This expansion is part of Korean Air's preparations for its integration with Asiana Airlines Inc.
