Seoul: The Korea Interbank Offered Rates (KORIBOR) have been updated with minor changes across various terms. These rates are crucial as they represent the average interest rate at which banks in Korea lend to one another. The rates were posted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial news and information arm of Yonhap News Agency, at 11:00 a.m.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the rates for the 1-week and 1-month terms remain unchanged at 2.50% and 2.60%, respectively. However, there is a slight increase in the 2-month term, which has risen to 2.69% from the previous session's 2.68%. The 3-month term also experienced a similar increase, moving from 2.78% to 2.79%.
The 6-month term saw an increase to 2.88%, up from 2.86% in the previous session. The 12-month term, on the other hand, increased slightly from 2.82% to 2.83%. These changes in KORIBOR are indicative of the subtle shifts in the interbank lending landscape in Korea.
