Seoul: Kolmar Korea Co. on Friday reported its first-quarter net profit of 23.2 billion won (US$16.5 million), marking a 92 percent increase from the same period last year. This significant rise in profit reflects the company's robust performance in the early months of the year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kolmar Korea's operating income for the January-March period reached 59.9 billion won, representing an 84.8 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, the company's sales saw a 13.6 percent rise, totaling 653.1 billion won. These figures underscore the company's strong market presence and effective business strategies.
The reported earnings exceeded market expectations, as the average net profit estimate by analysts was 20.6 billion won. This estimate was derived from a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency, indicating a more optimistic outlook for the company's financial health.
