KG Mobility Targets 1,000 SUV Sales in Myanmar with New Brand Launch

Yangon: KG Mobility Corp., a South Korean carmaker, announced its ambitious target to sell 1,000 sport utility vehicles (SUVs) in Myanmar this year as part of its brand launch in the Southeast Asian country.

According to Yonhap News Agency, KG Mobility plans to export its all-electric Torres EVX and Musso EV pickup as complete knockdown (CKD) kits to Myanmar. These kits will be assembled into fully functional vehicles at the facilities of its local partner, Super Seven Stars Group, for distribution within the domestic market.

From January through July, KG Mobility witnessed a 1.9 percent increase in its SUV exports, totaling 40,894 units compared to 40,115 units during the same period last year. In a bid to further enhance its export performance, the company aims to expand its CKD operations in Saudi Arabia and Vietnam.
