Seoul: The Korea Enterprises Federation (KEF) announced on Monday the release of its annual English handbook, which details the current business and labor market environment in South Korea.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the handbook, titled "2025 Business Environment and Labor Market in Korea," was created to assist international organizations and foreign companies in gaining a comprehensive understanding of key topics related to research and investment in South Korea. This initiative aims to foster informed engagement and strategic decision-making among foreign entities considering operations in the country.
The KEF has distributed the handbook to approximately 250 organizations, including prominent entities such as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the International Labour Organization (ILO), along with various overseas think tanks and corporations. This widespread dissemination underscores KEF's commitment to promoting transparency and collaboration on a global scale.
In a letter accompanying the handbook, KEF Chairman Sohn Kyung-shik expressed his aspiration that the publication will not only enhance understanding of South Korea's business environment and labor market but also encourage sustained investment and collaboration. Sohn emphasized the importance of continuous engagement between South Korea and the international business community to drive mutual growth and development.
