Kazan: The city of Kazan is set to host the 5th Kazan World Youth Summit, an event designed to engage young people in global education trends by bringing together participants from around the world. The summit, taking place from August 26 to 30, is organized by the Russian Republic of Tatarstan and will feature a series of open sessions intended for students, young leaders, and others interested in education.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the summit is expected to gather approximately 250 participants from over 40 countries, including representatives from ministries, international organizations, universities, and a selection of young leaders and experts. Among the highlights of the summit is a program that incorporates international experts and representatives from governmental and educational institutions, all participating within a dialogue framework under the slogan: "Education in an era of global change: Human capital for sustainable development."
The summit will launch its first open sessions on August 28, focusing on the vital role of communication skills in the future. These sessions aim to address methods for effective idea conveyance amid rapid global transformations and the significance of communication in the digital and AI era, emphasizing its role in fostering international cooperation and dialogue.
Following these sessions, an international panel discussion titled "Education in an Era of Global Change: Human Capital for Sustainable Development" will take place. It will feature speakers from various countries and sectors, including Ray Kwon Chung, President of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation from South Korea, Safa Al-Rashed, Board Member of the National Academy of Information Technology from Saudi Arabia, and Seda Kasparova, a social media influencer from Russia. Discussions will focus on preparing future professionals, transforming education systems, and enhancing international cooperation to aid in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The summit serves as an international platform for the exchange of best practices and the development of solutions in youth policy, education, culture, and media. It promotes multidisciplinary dialogue through modern participation formats aimed at creating sustainable and scalable solutions to global challenges.
The event is organized by the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, and Kazan Federal University, in collaboration with various international and regional organizations.
