Seoul: Kangwon Land Inc., South Korea's public casino operator, on Tuesday reported a second-quarter net profit of 100.3 billion won (US$70.1 million), representing an increase of 59.8 percent from the previous year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company, which also operates a major resort, revealed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the April-June period declined by 26.2 percent on-year to 43.2 billion won. Additionally, the company's sales saw a reduction of 4.2 percent, totaling 345.6 billion won.
