J.Y. Park Donates 1 Billion Won to Help Sick Children

Seoul: Singer and producer J.Y. Park has donated 1 billion won (US$677,966) to help children from vulnerable communities at home and abroad, his agency announced Friday. This latest act of generosity brings Park's total personal donations over the past four years to 4 billion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, JYP Entertainment revealed that Park made the donation during a ceremony at the company's headquarters in Seoul on Thursday. The singer allocated 200 million won each to Gachon University Gil Medical Center, Konyang University Hospital, and Seoul National University Children's Hospital, with an additional 400 million won directed to World Vision.

The contribution to World Vision is earmarked for medical treatments for children in Mexico and Brazil, as well as supporting recovery and child aid initiatives in Thailand, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka, countries recently impacted by floods and landslides.

During the event, Park expressed his hope that every child with the potential to change the world could receive proper treatment, grow up healthy, and freely pursue their dreams. He emphasized his desire for the funds to benefit those who truly need them.
