‘If Wishes Could Kill’ Tops Netflix’s Weekly Non-English Series Chart

Seoul: The young adult horror series "If Wishes Could Kill" has claimed the top spot on Netflix's non-English series chart in its second week of release, the streaming platform announced on Wednesday. The series achieved 7.5 million views for the week ending Sunday, following its swift rise to No. 4 just three days after its April 24 release.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the series has made its mark in the top 10 across 64 countries and regions, including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Egypt, and Brazil. The plot revolves around five Korean high school students who find themselves trapped by a curse originating from a mysterious wish-granting app named "Girigo," the series' Korean title.

In addition to its success, the Korean romantic comedy series "Sold Out on You" secured the third position on the weekly chart. Meanwhile, in the English-language film category, "KPop Demon Hunters" maintained its presence at No. 5, marking its 46th consecutive week in the top 10.
