Hyundai Motor to Launch Off-Road Themed Variant of Casper Electric

Seoul: Hyundai Motor Co. announced plans to release an off-road themed variant of the Casper Electric, the company’s entry-level electric vehicle (EV), in South Korea this week. The new model, named the Casper Electric Cross, will be available starting Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the Casper Electric Cross maintains the core design identity of its predecessor, the Inster Electric, introduced last year. The new variant incorporates off-road elements to attract adventure-seeking customers. The vehicle’s front features a unique radiator grille and matte gray metallic skid plates, enhancing its robust appearance.

The side profile of the Casper Electric Cross is characterized by 17-inch alloy wheels and custom side moldings, which amplify its sporty aesthetic. A roof rack is included as standard, catering to the needs of customers with an affinity for outdoor activities.

Under the hood, the Casper Electric Cross is powered by a 49 kilowatt-hours nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery, offering a driving range of 285 kilometers per full charge. The vehicle is also equipped with fast-charging technology, capable of recharging the battery from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 30 minutes.
