Seoul: Hyundai Mobis, one of South Korea's leading automotive parts manufacturers, announced a significant rise in its second-quarter net profit, reaching 1.06 trillion won (US$721.9 million). This marks a 13.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating income for the April-June period climbed to 975.2 billion won, reflecting a 12.1 percent increase from the previous year. Additionally, the company's revenue saw a 2.4 percent rise, totaling 16.32 trillion won for the quarter.
The company's earnings surpassed market expectations, as analysts had projected an average net profit of 1.03 trillion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of Yonhap News Agency.
