South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor and its subsidiary Kia said on Monday that they expect to exceed their 2022 global sales target of 7 million cars. The confident start to the new year is a big improvement on 2021, when the carmakers missed their minimum sales target, largely due to the global chip shortage delaying vehicle deliveries for many manufacturers.
