Berlin: South Korean director Hong Sang-soo's latest film, "What Does That Nature Say to You," has been selected to compete at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, set to begin next month. The festival, which will run from February 13 to 23, announced that Hong's film is one of 19 feature films vying for recognition in its 75th edition.
According to Yonhap News Agency, "What Does That Nature Say to You" is Hong's 33rd feature film. The story follows a young woman who introduces her boyfriend to her family, leading to a series of events. The film features performances by Ha Seong-guk, Kwon Hae-hyo, Cho Yun-hee, Kang So-yi, and Park Mi-so.
Hong Sang-soo has a notable history at the Berlin festival, having won five awards there. His accolades began with "On the Beach at Night Alone" in 2017, which earned lead actress Kim Min-hee the Silver Bear for Best Actress. In the previous year, Hong received the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize for his film "A Traveler's Needs."
