Seoul: Professor Kim Jong-cheol of Yonsei Law School has been nominated to lead the Korea Media Communications Commission. Known for his expertise in constitutional and media law, Kim brings a wealth of experience to the position.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim joined the faculty of Yonsei University in Seoul in 2003 after completing his master's and PhD degrees at the London School of Economics and Political Science. His career has been marked by significant contributions to the field of constitutional law, having led major legal organizations such as the Korean Society for Media Law, Ethics and Policy Research, the Korea Public Law Association, and the Korean Association of Human Rights Law.

During the tenure of the former Moon Jae-in administration, Kim played a pivotal role in several government judiciary bodies. His involvement included significant participation in the Presidential Special Committee on National Constitution Advisory and a prosecution reform committee under the Supreme Prosecutors Office.
