Seoul: HD Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. on Monday reported its third-quarter net income of 182.8 billion won (US$128.1 million), reflecting a substantial increase of 6930.8 percent from the same period last year. The remarkable growth showcases the company's robust financial performance over the past year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company revealed in a regulatory filing that it achieved an operating profit of 200.8 billion won for the quarter, a significant rise from 35.2 billion won a year ago. Additionally, the dockyard's revenue witnessed a 20.7 percent increase, reaching 1.3 trillion won.

The reported operating profit exceeded the average market estimate by 63.3 percent, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. However, the estimate for net profit was not disclosed.
