Seoul: HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. on Monday reported its third-quarter net profit of 430.8 billion won (US$301.7 million), marking a significant increase of 496.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the July-September period reached 557.3 billion won, reflecting a 170.4 percent rise from the previous year. Additionally, sales experienced a 22.4 percent growth, amounting to 4.41 trillion won.
The company's financial achievements surpassed market expectations, with the average net profit estimate by analysts being 358.9 billion won, as per a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
