Seoul: Hanwha Ocean Co. on Monday reported its third-quarter net profit of 269.4 billion won (US$187.8 million), marking a notable shift from a loss of 74.8 billion won in the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company stated in a regulatory filing that its operating income for the July-September period increased by 1032 percent year-on-year to 289.8 billion won. Additionally, the company's revenue saw an 11.8 percent rise, reaching 3.02 trillion won.

The recorded operating profit was 13.5 percent lower than the average estimate, as indicated by a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency. However, the estimate for net profit was not available.
