Seoul: Hankook and Co. on Wednesday announced a net income of 95.7 billion won (US$67.6 million) for the second quarter, marking a 69.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company's operating profit for the April to June period reached 100.2 billion won, reflecting a 35.6 percent rise from the previous year. However, the company's sales experienced a decline of 1.2 percent, totaling 339.6 billion won.
