GS completes 4th LNG power plant in S. Korea
SEOUL-- GS Group, an energy and retail giant here, said Friday that it has completed the construction of a LNG-fired power plant, to emerge as South Korea's largest private power generator with a combined capacity of 5,100 MW.
The LNG power plant in Dangjin, 100 kilometers south of Seoul, has a power generation capacity of 900 megawatts, said GS EPS, the operator of the plant.
GS Group already runs three LNG power plants with a combined capacity of 1,500 MW and one renewable energy-based power plant with 100 MW in the coastal city, it said.
The group also has a slew of power generating firms under its wing.
