‘Golden’ Tops Billboard Hot 100 for 5th Week

Los angeles: "Golden," a track from the animated U.S. film "KPop Demon Hunters," has topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the fifth consecutive week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Billboard announced on Monday (U.S. time) in a preview of its upcoming main singles chart that "Golden" has retained its No. 1 position for yet another week. The track is performed by Korean American artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, who make up the fictional girl group Huntr/x in the film. Ejae, a composer who has trained at SM Entertainment, and Rei Ami were both born in South Korea.

The song's co-producers, Teddy and 24, are well-known for their work with the prominent K-pop agency, The Black Label. "Golden" initially debuted at No. 81 and gradually climbed the ranks, moving to No. 23, No. 6, No. 4, No. 2, and finally No. 1. It briefly fell back to No. 2 before reclaiming the top spot three weeks ago.

In the U.S. from September 5-11, "Golden" garnered 33.8 million streams (a 2 percent decrease), 26.3 million radio airplay audience impressions (a 19 percent increase), and sold 8,000 copies (an 11 percent decrease).

Besides "Golden," three other tracks from the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack have secured positions within the top 10. "Your Idol" took the No. 4 spot, "Soda Pop" followed at No. 5, and "How It's Done" maintained its position at No. 8.

The soundtrack also achieved a significant milestone by topping the Billboard 200 albums chart, marking its dominance on both Billboard's main singles and albums charts.
