‘Golden’ from ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ Soundtrack Tops British Official Chart for 7th Week

London: "Golden," the smash hit single from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animation film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has topped the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the seventh time.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the chart unveiled Friday (local time) showed "Golden" holding on to the No. 1 spot, just as it did the previous week, surpassing Olivia Dean's "Man I Need." The song was performed by Korean American artists Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami as part of the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x.

Since its debut on the chart at No. 93, "Golden" first reached No. 1 on August 1. It briefly slipped to No. 2 before reclaiming the top position and has maintained the No. 1 spot for six consecutive weeks, including this week. Additionally, the song has topped the U.S. Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart for five weeks.

Other tracks from the soundtrack have also achieved high rankings on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" securing the third and fifth positions, respectively. An alternate version of "Takedown," also from the movie and sung by Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung of K-pop girl group TWICE, reached 24th place.

Released on June 20, the animated sensation "Kpop Demon Hunters" has officially become the most-watched title in Netflix's history across both films and TV series.
