London: "Golden," the smash hit single from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animation film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has topped the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the second consecutive week.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the chart unveiled Friday (local time) showed "Golden" claiming the top spot, surpassing "No Broke Boys" by Disco Lines and Tinashe. The song by the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x was performed by Ejae, a composer trained at SM Entertainment; Korean American singer Audrey Nuna; and South Korean-born U.S. artist Rei Ami.
The track marks the first time a K-pop song has reached No. 1 on this chart in 13 years, following Psy's "Gangnam Style" in 2012. "Golden" also achieved the No. 1 position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States earlier this week.
Other tracks from the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack have also performed well on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" securing the third and sixth spots, respectively. Additionally, "Takedown" landed at the 31st position.
