‘Golden’ from ‘Kpop Demon Hunters’ OST Tops British Official Chart Again

London: "Golden," the smash hit single from the original soundtrack of the Netflix animation film "Kpop Demon Hunters," has topped the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 for the second time.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the chart unveiled Friday (local time) shows "Golden" reclaiming the top spot after surpassing "The Subway" by Chappel Roan, which previously held the No. 1 position on the chart last week. "Golden" had initially reached the top of the chart two weeks prior.

The song is performed by the film's fictional girl group Huntr/x and features notable artists such as Ejae, a composer trained at SM Entertainment; Korean American singer Audrey Nuna; and South Korean-born U.S. artist Rei Ami. This track marks a significant milestone as the first K-pop song to reach No. 1 on the British chart in 13 years, following Psy's "Gangnam Style" in 2012. Additionally, "Golden" also secured the top position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the United States earlier this week.

Other tracks from the "Kpop Demon Hunters" soundtrack have also achieved commendable positions on the British chart, with "Soda Pop" and "Your Idol" ranking at sixth and seventh, respectively. Meanwhile, "Takedown" secured the 35th spot.
