Seoul: GM Korea Co., the South Korean unit of General Motors Co., announced on Monday that its sales rose by 5.4 percent in November compared to the same period last year, driven primarily by robust export demand. According to Yonhap News Agency, GM Korea reported total sales of 49,626 vehicles in November, an increase from 47,104 units in the previous year. The growth was attributed to a surge in overseas shipments, particularly of the Trax Crossover and the Trailblazer SUV. Although domestic sales experienced a significant decline of 39.6 percent year-on-year, amounting to 1,821 units, the company saw a remarkable 84 percent rise in exports, reaching 47,805 units during the same period. The company also revealed plans to launch year-end sales promotions in December, which include interest-free installment plans. These initiatives are aimed at ensuring that customers can take full advantage of the available programs, potentially boosting sales further as the year concludes.
