Seoul: GM Korea Co., the South Korean unit of General Motors Co., reported a significant decline in its November sales, with figures dropping by 11.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The company announced that it sold 43,799 vehicles last month, a decrease from 49,626 units sold in November of the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, domestic sales took a hard hit, plummeting 46.6 percent year-on-year to 973 units from 1,821. On the export front, there was a decline of 10.4 percent, with 42,826 units sold overseas compared to 47,805 units in November last year.

The Chevrolet Trax Crossover SUV emerged as the leading model in overseas markets, achieving sales of 27,328 units. It was followed by the Trailblazer compact SUV, which recorded sales of 15,498 units. GM Korea's current vehicle lineup includes two locally assembled models-the Trailblazer and the Trax Crossover-and two imported models, namely the Colorado pickup and the GMC Sierra Denali.
