GM Korea Unveils Future Mobility Technologies at Inaugural Tech Day Event

Incheon: General Motors Co. announced that it has unveiled the company's core future mobility technologies, including the Super Cruise driver-assist system, advanced battery technologies, and software-defined vehicle (SDV) innovations, during its first tech day in South Korea. According to Yonhap News Agency, the 2025 GM Tech Experience Day took place on Thursday at the company's Exhibition Hall in Incheon, just west of Seoul. The event was organized to communicate GM's approach to technological innovation with employees and key partners within a rapidly evolving mobility landscape. Participants were also given the opportunity to learn about next-generation mobility solutions. GM designed the program around three main areas to enhance participants' understanding of the company's future technologies. These included a tech talk session offering in-depth explanations of core technologies, a Super Cruise and battery experience zone featuring real vehicles and hands-on demonstrations, and an innovation lab inten ded to gather creative ideas from employees. "GM Tech Day was created to share the direction and transformative value of GM's future technologies with our employees," Hector Villarreal, chief executive officer (CEO) of GM Korea, stated. He emphasized that Super Cruise and battery technologies are essential components of GM's electrification strategy. Through this experience, the company aims for employees, sales teams, and partners to gain a deeper understanding of GM's technological vision and to expand opportunities for collaboration.
