Seoul: A group of French veterans from the 1950-53 Korean War has extended their congratulations to the new South Korean Vice Veterans Minister, Kang Yun-jin, on her recent appointment, as reported by Seoul's veterans ministry.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Patrick Beaudouin, president of the French Korean War Veterans Association, expressed his delight in a letter dated Monday. He highlighted the opportunity to continue collaborative efforts with Vice Minister Kang to strengthen the longstanding friendship between France and South Korea.
Beaudouin emphasized the readiness of the association for joint initiatives, particularly in light of the upcoming 75th anniversary of the Korean War and the 140th year of diplomatic relations between France and South Korea.
Vice Minister Kang expressed her gratitude to the French war veterans for their letter. She stated her commitment to advancing global veterans affairs, focusing on the well-being of United Nations war veterans and their families, as conveyed by the ministry.
