Seoul: Four additional South Korean nationals have successfully crossed the border from Iran into Turkmenistan amid the intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel, as confirmed by Seoul's foreign ministry.

According to Yonhap News Agency, this recent evacuation follows the earlier departure of 30 South Koreans and their Iranian family members, who utilized the same land route to reach Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, between Tuesday and Wednesday. The South Korean government supported these efforts by providing necessary transportation and consular assistance.

In light of the escalating airstrikes between Israel and Iran, many countries have begun evacuating their citizens from the region. As a result, at least 43 South Koreans and their Israeli family members have fled Israel to seek refuge in Jordan.

Before the recent outbreak of conflict last Friday, it was estimated that 110 South Koreans were residing in Iran and approximately 500 in Israel.
