Seoul: Foreign Minister Cho Hyun held phone talks with his Moroccan counterpart, Nasser Bourita, on Friday and discussed ways to expand bilateral ties and economic partnership, Cho's office said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, in the talks, Cho highlighted continued economic cooperation between the two countries, noting that Korea's Hyundai Rotem Co. won a record 2.2 trillion-won (US$1.528 billion) deal earlier this year to supply advanced trains to Morocco, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bourita said Korean companies have contributed to the economic development of Morocco, noting the country wishes to expand cooperation with Seoul not only in areas of the economy but also on regional and multilateral issues, the ministry said.
