Fluctuations Mark KOSPI 200 as Key Stocks Record Gains and Losses

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses across various sectors in its latest closing. Notable movements included significant shifts in the financial, pharmaceutical, and retail sectors, highlighting a volatile trading session.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Meritz Financial experienced a rise, closing at 123,300 with an increase of 6,700. In the pharmaceutical sector, HanmiPharm saw an uptick to 392,000, climbing 3,000. Meanwhile, BGF Retail also posted gains, rising by 5,100 to reach 123,400.

In contrast, some stocks faced downturns. HD Hyundai fell sharply by 9,000, ending at 222,500. Another noticeable decline was seen in DL EandC, which dropped by 2,600 to close at 63,200. The technology sector witnessed SK ie technology dipping slightly by 550 to 14,140.

Additionally, SK SQUARE saw a significant decrease, with a drop of 112,000, settling at 1,109,000. HyundaiAutoever also reported a substantial decline, dropping 51,000 to close at 379,000. The fluctuations in these stocks indicate an active and uncertain market environment.
