Beijing: First lady Kim Hea Kyung met with students and teachers at the Korean International School in Beijing on Tuesday, offering words of encouragement, Cheong Wa Dae announced. Kim's visit to the school took place as she accompanied President Lee Jae Myung during his state trip to China.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Kim, who is a mother of two sons, emphasized the importance of education. She urged teachers to nurture students as global talents while helping them maintain their Korean identity, as conveyed by vice presidential spokesperson Ahn Gwi-ryeong. During her visit, Kim observed a taekwondo performance by the students, watched elementary students as they made New Year's cards, and sent fried chicken to seniors who are graduating soon, Ahn added.
