Seoul: Emart Inc. on Tuesday reported its 2024 net loss of 573.4 billion won (US$394.3 million), remaining in the red compared with the previous year. Operating profit for the year was 47.1 billion won, compared with a loss of 46.9 billion won from the previous year, the company said in a regulatory filing. Despite achieving an operating profit, the company remains affected by declining revenues, which have impacted its overall financial performance. Emart's efforts to cut losses and improve profitability have yet to reverse its negative net income.
