Seoul: DoubleU Games Co. on Tuesday announced a significant increase in its third-quarter net profit, reaching 56.4 billion won (US$38.7 million). This marks a 38.1 percent rise compared to the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, DoubleU Games' operating income for the July-September period was 59.2 billion won, which is a slight decrease of 0.5 percent from the previous year. However, the company's revenue saw a substantial growth of 20.8 percent, totaling 186.2 billion won.

The company's earnings exceeded market expectations, with the average net profit estimate by analysts being 37.9 billion won. This estimate was based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
