Seoul: Doosan Robotics Inc. on Thursday reported its first-quarter net loss of 9.4 billion won (US$6.8 million), remaining in the red compared with a year ago. The company continues to face financial challenges as it navigates a period of decreased revenue and increased losses.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that it recorded an operating loss of 12.1 billion won for the January-March period. This is a significant increase from the operating loss of 6.9 billion won reported in the same quarter the previous year.
Revenue for the first quarter fell sharply by 51.5 percent, totaling 5.3 billion won. The decline in revenue has exacerbated the company's financial position, contributing to its ongoing struggle with profitability.
The latest financial results highlight Doosan Robotics' ongoing efforts to stabilize its operations amid a challenging economic environment. The company is likely to continue exploring strategies to mitigate losses and enhance revenue streams in future quarters.
