Seoul: Disney+ has announced that the second season of its popular Korean original series "Made in Korea" will premiere in September. The announcement was made by the streaming platform on Wednesday, confirming the return of the political thriller set in the 1970s.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the series continues the story of Baik Ki-tae, played by Hyun Bin, who leads a double life as a government intelligence operative and a drug dealer. Prosecutor Jang Keon-young, portrayed by Jung Woo-sung, relentlessly pursues Baik in this gripping narrative. The second season is set nine years after the events of the first series and follows Baik on a pursuit of even greater ambitions.
The first season of "Made in Korea," released last year, quickly became the most-watched Korean show on Disney+ during that year. The second season will reunite Hyun Bin and Jung Woo-sung with other cast members from the first season, promising to continue the engaging storyline that captivated audiences.
