Ashgabat: The chairman of Daewoo Engineering and Construction (Daewoo E and C) Co. engaged in significant discussions with Turkmenistan's president and top officials last week, aiming to explore avenues for expanding the company's business ventures in the Central Asian country, as reported by the company on Tuesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Daewoo E and C Chairman Jung Won-ju held separate meetings with President Serdar Berdimuhamedow and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, chairman of the People's Council, on Saturday (local time). The talks centered on potential collaboration in key sectors such as infrastructure and energy projects.
Jung highlighted the company's global experience and technological edge in the construction field, expressing commitment to contribute to Turkmenistan's economic development and strengthening bilateral ties. "Daewoo E and C possesses global experience and technological competitiveness across all sectors of construction," Jung was quoted as saying.
In addition to these high-profile meetings, Jung also engaged with Turkmenistan's deputy prime ministers responsible for construction, power production, finance, and economic affairs. He sought their support and cooperation in facilitating the expansion of Daewoo E and C's operations within the region.
