Seoul: A court has ruled in favor of YTN employees regarding a decision by the broadcasting authority that altered the largest shareholder of the all-news TV channel.

According to Yonhap News Agency, in February of the previous year, the then Korea Communications Commission, which has since been abolished and reorganized into the Korea Media and Communications Commission, had approved Eugene ENT Co.'s application to become the largest shareholder of YTN. However, this decision was contested by the employees of YTN, leading to the recent court ruling that revoked the approval.
