Seoul: A convoy carrying impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol arrived at the Constitutional Court on Tuesday after departing from the Seoul Detention Center for an impeachment trial.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the convoy departed from the front gate of the detention center in Uiwang, south of Seoul, at 12:48 p.m. The court is set to hold the third hearing session on the impeachment trial at 2 p.m. to review evidence submitted by the National Assembly related to Yoon's short-lived imposition of martial law on December 3.

This event marks the first time an impeached president will personally appear at a Constitutional Court trial.
