Seoul: CJ Logistics Corp. on Friday reported its third-quarter net income of 73.4 billion won (US$50.7 million), reflecting a 22.4 percent increase from the same period last year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, operating profit for the July-September period was 147.9 billion won, marking a 4.4 percent increase from a year ago, as announced in a regulatory filing. Sales also experienced a rise of 3.1 percent, reaching 3.06 trillion won.

The company's earnings surpassed market expectations, as the average net profit estimate by analysts was 66.7 billion won. This estimate was based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
