Seoul: Corp. announced it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Vietnamese supermarket chain Bach Hoa Xanh. This agreement aims to strengthen their business partnership and enhance CJ Cheiljedang's market presence in Southeast Asia.

According to Yonhap News Agency, under the MOU signed last week, the South Korean food company plans to expand the supply of Korean food products, including processed items, through Bach Hoa Xanh's retail network. The company emphasized that this partnership is intended to diversify CJ Cheiljedang's product portfolio in Vietnam. The focus will shift beyond frozen and chilled foods to include shelf-stable products and processed meat offerings.

Currently, CJ Cheiljedang supplies a variety of Korean food products to the Vietnamese retailer. These products include Bibigo dumplings, kimchi - a traditional fermented cabbage dish - and dried seaweed, known as "gim" in Korean. The company noted that its Vietnam operations have achieved an average annual sales growth of approximately 40 percent over the past four years.
