Beijing: China has informed South Korea of its decision to postpone a scheduled trilateral meeting of culture ministers from Seoul, Beijing, and Tokyo, originally set for next week. This announcement comes from Seoul's culture ministry on Thursday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, China has not provided a specific reason for the postponement. However, tensions have risen between Tokyo and Beijing due to a diplomatic dispute following comments by Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi. Earlier this month, Takaichi suggested that Japan might consider military intervention if China were to attack Taiwan.

The notification of the postponement was communicated to South Korea's culture ministry by China's culture ministry on Tuesday. The meeting was initially planned to take place next Monday in Macao. Since its inception in 2007, the annual ministerial conference has served as a platform for cultural ministers from the three nations to engage in discussions on cultural exchange and cooperation.
