Seoul: The vice spokesperson of Cheong Wa Dae, Jeon Eun-su, was promoted to serve as the spokesperson for President Lee Jae Myung, a senior aide said Wednesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, current spokesperson Kang Yu-jung will take on the role of chief spokesperson, as stated by Lee Kyu-yeon, the presidential secretary for public affairs and communications.

Jeon, 42, has a diverse professional background. She previously worked as an elementary school teacher and a lawyer before joining the ruling Democratic Party in May 2024. Since June last year, Jeon has been serving as a vice spokesperson under President Lee's administration.
